Our client, a financial consulting institution based in New York City, requires a talented analyst to join their public power, project finance, energy and infrastructure team. 

About the Job:

  • Assign new ratings and provide surveillance for public power,  project finance, energy and infrastructure related entities.
  • Assist in the rating process by preparing internal credit reports, evaluating financial statements,  and presenting these to the rating committees,
  • Analyze cash flows and evaluate transaction structures and technical aspects of a project.
  • Closely follow developments surrounding rated transactions and their sectors, assessing the potential impact on the transaction and maintaining contact with related parties
  • Write articles for publications on individual transactions as well as special topic and market commentaries. 

About You:

  • 3 to 7 years of experience performing credit analysis on Public Power, Energy and Infrastructure entities in rating agency, buy-side, credit research, banking or other similar environments
  • Proficiency in financial statement analysis and financial modeling
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • The ability to organize, meet deadlines and to multitask

Commercial/Esoteric ABS Credit Analyst

Our client, a rapidly growing financial services consulting and rating firm, is seeking a Commercial/Esoteric Asset Backed Securities (ABS) Credit Analyst with knowledge in sectors such as aviation and other transportation assets, intellectual property, small business loans, and other non-traditional asset classes. This position is based in New York, NY.

About the Job:

  • Perform transaction analysis including originator/servicer evaluation, loan pool analysis, modeling and analysis of bond structure, and review of legal structure and documentation
  • Lead transactions with minimal direction.
  • Prepare credit submissions and present transactions to rating committee

Analyst, Higher Education- Private and Public Sector

Due to growth, our New York City based financial services client is looking for a talented analyst to join the Higher Education team.  The candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting data to rating committees as well as partnering with the surveillance team to monitor and update transactions accordingly.

About the Job:

  • Perform private/public higher education credit/bond structure analysis 
  • Prepare credit submissions and present transactions to rating committees
  • Participate in the development and publication of higher education and other rating methodologies, individual transactions reports, and special topic and market commentaries
  • Partner with the surveillance team in monitoring and updating ratings on existing transactions
  • Represent company by speaking and attending bond industry and higher education sector conferences.

About You:

  • 6-10+ years of experience performing credit analysis on municipal credits at a rating agency, financial guarantor, buy-side firm, credit research firm, banking firm or commensurate experience
  • Transaction analysis experience, including analysis of bond structure and accounting analysis
  • Revenue bond experience with the private/public higher education bond sectors and other municipal sectors required

Junior CMBS Analyst

The Commercial Mortgage-Backed Security group of our client is growing rapidly and is looking to add an analyst. The idea candidate will be responsible for the timely modeling and updating of CMBS deals. Excellent communication skills, creative thinking and problem solving abilities are requirements for the role. The position is based in New York City.

About the Job:

  • Perform detailed cash flow analysis for commercial real estate properties included in CMBS transactions

Structuring Analyst - Asset Management

About the Job:

  • Reporting to senior management, the structuring analyst will be a critical member of the
  • team responsible for creating, developing, and executing structured products across asset
  • classes both for our client’s own investments as well as in connection with raising third party
  • capital. Specific responsibilities will include:
  • Building analytical models to evaluate the merit of particular product and
  • transaction ideas
  • Building cash flow waterfall models for those products/transactions

CMBS Surveillance

Our client, a ratings and risk consulting firm based in New York, NY, is seeking an experienced professional to join their rapidly growing of CMBS Surveillance team. This position is based in New York, NY. 

About the Job:

  • Lead CMBS transaction reviews in accordance with organizational guidelines, including the preparation and presentation of analyses to committees and the publication of transaction reports.
  • Develop detailed cash flow analysis for commercial real estate properties.
  • Respond to servicer requests regarding a variety of post securitization matters, including loan assumptions and defeasance.
  • Monitor and document the credit performance of CMBS transactions on an ongoing basis.
  • Prepare research and data compilation as needed to effectively monitor ratings exposure; publish findings.
  • Produce research and commentary reports on credit or marketplace trends.
  • Conduct property site visits and document findings for internal and external use.

About You:
