Our client, a 2.5 Billion Hedge Fund located in Greenwich Ct., is seeking an Investor Relations Compliance Specialist to work closely with the Investor Relations and Marketing teams to ensure all investor relations and marketing collateral are compliant. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and works very closely with the Chief Compliance Officer.
About the Job:
- Review and approval of marketing and investor relations materials
- AIFMD compliance including coordinating with outside counsel to register the firm and/or the funds and stay current on the registration requirements
- Foreign marketing rules and regulations
- Email reviews of IR employees
- Monitoring side letter requirements
- Ensuring consistency across communications and disclosures
- Develop, maintain and monitor compliance policies and procedures relevant to the areas for which he or she is responsible
- Monitor the news, regulatory updates and regulatory actions related to their specialty to ensure the firm’s policies, procedures and practices are in compliance with current guidance, industry practices and that all “hot topics” have been addressed or considered
- Understand the dynamic relationship between compliance requirements and business practices to liaise with other departments and use/assist in the development of technology to achieve efficiencies where possible
About You:
- 5-7 years of related experience reviewing and approving marketing and investor relations materials
- 4 year college degree
- Excellent writing and analytical skills
- Solid understanding of hedge fund regulations
- Excellent communication skills
