Our client, a financial consultant and rating firm, is seeking a Project Finance Credit Analyst to join their team. This position is located in New York, NY.

About the Job:

Responsible for assigning new ratings and providing surveillance for energy and infrastructure related project-financed entities
Assist in the rating process by preparing internal credit reports for rating committees, analyzing cash flows and evaluating technical aspects of a project
Responsible for reviewing credit documentation, transaction structures and financial statements
Support senior analysts in the initial rating process by developing financial models to forecast project performance
Closely follow developments surrounding rated transactions and their sectors, assessing the potential impact on the transaction and maintaining contact with related parties
Partner in preparing credit submissions and presenting transactions to rating committees
Write articles for publications on individual transactions as well as special topic and market commentaries

About You:

2 to 5 years of experience performing credit analysis on Project Finance or Energy transactions in rating agency, buy-side, credit research, banking or other similar environments
Proficiency in financial statement analysis and financial modeling
Strong verbal, written communication and analytical skills
The ability to organize, meet deadlines and to multitask
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus
