Structuring Analyst - Asset Management

Our client is a global asset management and investment advisory firm with innovative
approaches to the market resulting in attractive results. Due to growth, the investment
team is seeking a talented Structuring Analyst. The position is based in New York City.

About the Job:

  • Reporting to senior management, the structuring analyst will be a critical member of the
  • team responsible for creating, developing, and executing structured products across asset
  • classes both for our client’s own investments as well as in connection with raising third party
  • capital. Specific responsibilities will include:
  • Building analytical models to evaluate the merit of particular product and
  • transaction ideas
  • Building cash flow waterfall models for those products/transactions
  • Structuring highly complex structured transactions such as cash and synthetic
  • CDOs/CLOs. Experience in structuring other types of ABS, MBS and CMBS
  • transactions very desirable.
  • Building rating agency models in Excel to run scenario analysis for the rating
  • agencies
  • Maintaining relationships with structured product rating analysts and staying
  • abreast of their methodologies.
  • Taking conceptual ideas for structures and creating models to analyze risks and
  • values of particular structures and products.
  • Verifying models with the accountants and investors and providing cash flow and
  • scenario analysis as required.
  • Working with embedded derivatives and modeling and analyzing derivatives in
  • structured transactions extremely helpful.

About You:

  • 3 -7 years relevant experience.
  • Academic degree with focus on math or engineering.
  • Advanced modeling skills in Excel required; C++ Programming skills desirable.
  • Knowledge of markets and interest rates, hedging, derivatives, etc. 

Vice President, Structured Trade Finance

Our client, a global bank, is seeking a Vice President, Structured Trade Finance to join their team.  The Structured Trade Finance Senior Relationship Manager is responsible for the acquisition, structuring, negotiating and closing of structured trade and commodity transactions in the NAFTA region. Furthermore, s/he is responsible for the relationship and risk management of assigned accounts.  This position is located in New York, NY.

About the Job:

  • Responsible for business development in line with the Departments strategy and the Bank’s prevailing credit risk policy and return expectations
  • Responsible for acquiring, structuring, negotiating and closing of structured trade transactions
  • Proper assessment and evaluation of the risk regarding borrowers, country risks, and structures in order to prepare a New Deal Meeting with Credit
  • Maintain a regular contact with the Borrower and Arranger Banks 
  • Preparation of credit applications for new transactions/credit facilities and follow-up the approval process
  • Supervision of review dates and preparation of credit reviews according to internal guidelines
  • Responsible for Credit documentation in cooperation with ex-/internal lawyers, banks and other internal departments 
  • Responsible to obtain all necessary documentation for compliance and filing
  • Close cooperation with Credit, Collateral Management and with Operations

About You:

  • MBA or equivalent
  • 5+ years’ experience in international trade and structured finance (financial institution) or
  • 5+ years’ experience in commodity trade/finance (trading company)
  • Solid credit background
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
