Our client, a global asset management firm is seeking a Vice President Marketing/Communications to join their Strategic Communications team. The Vice President Marketing/Communications will work within the department to generate original content designed to engage financial intermediaries and their clients resulting in greater facilitation of the sales process. This position is located in Fairfield County, Connecticut.
About the Job:
Write and edit a cross-section of editorial and promotional content focused on investment strategies and industry trends, including white papers, one-pagers, email, presentations and audio/video
Project-manage white papers and videos through design, compliance, and web-posting
Leverage thought leadership resources in web features and related elements designed to drive response and engagement (e.g. tweets, banners, captions, bullet points, summaries)
Collaborate with Strategic Marketing Team to generate ideas that reflect current market conditions as well as the priorities of our investment managers and sales/distribution organization
Provide ad hoc creative assistance to other teams within Marketing to enhance impact and quality of messaging
Build positive relationships with marketing, sales and compliance teams, seeking opportunities to enhance productivity and to improve distribution of thought leadership content
About You:
7+ years of experience in financial marketing communications, preferably aimed at financial advisors or institutional buyers
Creative thinker with proven track record bringing investment concepts to life in high-quality written materials
Familiarity with general investment principles and with basics of equity, fixed income, and alternative asset classes
Working knowledge of retail and institutional fund distribution
Bachelor’s Degree; MBA preferred
Series 6 or 7 preferred
Professional Chemistry:
Excellent writing skills with the ability to present investment concepts and strategies clearly, forcefully and accurately
Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment involving multiple projects (with various departments and components) at the same time
Familiarity with asset management business and functional areas within Marketing
Committed to accuracy in the presentation of concepts as well as charts and data
Able to identify and anticipate client needs; sensitive to the sales organization and sales process
Self-directed and motivated
Able to collaborate successfully and interact with individuals, teams and departments throughout a global organization
