Our client, a leading global private equity and real estate fund administrator is seeking a Business Development Director to join their North American Sales team, based in New York. This position reports to the Global Head of Sales.
About the Job:
- Maximize sales earnings and profitability by winning new clients, achieved by successful implementation of the sales plan
- Win new business prospects by creating, refining and implementing US sales strategy
- Manage and develop the new business sales process, procedures and related documentation
- Lead relationships with third parties (lawyers, accountants, valuation providers, bankers, etc.
- Manage and refine marketing strategy including promotional activities such as mailshots and press releases
- Represent the firm at industry seminars, networking events and conferences
- Target profitable potential leads aligned with the firm’s target business profile and sector
- Lead sales process from initial contact, meeting, presentations, fee proposal process, negotiation and closing
- Create and deliver presentations, RFP’s and fee proposals
- Develop an understanding of new clients’ business models and processes
- Establish and foster effective relationships with new business prospects and industry contacts to strengthen the firm’s brand and reputation within the industry
- Contribute to the collection of market intelligence on potential target customer base and competitors
- Maintain hands-on relationships with new clients until they are taken by client services team
- Act as the facilitator and coordinate work required from the firm by the client in the new business stage to ensure that is it successfully completed
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, marketing, accounting or a related business field required
- 3-5 years of sales, business development and/or marketing experience in financial services
- Knowledge of Private Equity and Real Estate funds
