Senior Analyst, Securitization

The Investment Banking Division of a privately held global financial services firm is seeking a senior analyst to join their Structured Products Team. This individual will support senior bankers in the group’s established ABS and credit structuring business. The senior analyst will work directly with the group’s senior professionals on all aspects of transactions, providing clients with a broad range of financing solutions using securitization technology applied to a variety of asset classes. 

About the Job:

Model complex securitization transactions such as CLO’s and various types of esoteric ABS Prepare marketing materials (presentations, term sheets, etc) for clients.
Analyze asset portfolios, including tracking relevant collateral attributes; prepare stratifications and perform collateral analytics and other analyses as needed
Model rating agency stresses; prepare rating agency presentations and other analyses
Run cash flow scenario analyses for investors
Review certain sections of transaction documentation
Test models and collateral with accountants
Arrange and coordinate client meetings, transaction road shows and other marketing initiatives
Liaise with the firm’s sales force to facilitate syndication process
Conduct market research projects for clients and sales force
Work on group infrastructure projects that involve building systems to process and organize large volumes of industry data

About You:

1-3 years of experience in structured products at a major financial institution or a top tier accounting firm; top tier law firm may be considered
Bachelor’s degree required
Experience with ABS and/or CLO cash flow modeling, or other types of securitized products required
Strong quantitative skills; Microsoft Excel modeling experience required, familiarity with VBA preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft Access a plus
Detail-orientation, organizational skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Responsive to client needs
Learning agile, able to quickly and appropriately in accordance with the constant evolution of the company and industry
