Our client is a rapidly growing media company focused on creating and distributing content across all media channels.  Due to growth, a new position has opened up supporting the COO in all aspect of corporate finance and analysis.

About the Job:

  • Streamline & maintain corporate the operating model for the Company’s existing distribution business.
  • Create operating models around new business line  and incorporate into corporate operating model.
  • Utilize financials models to assess capital requirements and most efficient means of financing the overall business, as well as standalone productions / subsidiaries.
  • Create templates, taking into account variable project waterfalls, to assess economic viability through a variety of metrics (ROI, IRR, etc.) of potential new investments.
  • Work closely with management to generate & maintain ultimate P&L models for the Company’s investments in content; monitor variances and analyze performance data.
  • Work closely with COO, Controller and accounting department to create & automate reporting tools to manage the Company’s asset-based revolving credit facility
  • Work with COO & Controller to create forecasting methodologies for revenue in all media windows (theatrical, digital, cable, DVD, television, etc.)
  • Oversee monthly & quarterly credit facility reporting requirements, including monthly borrowing base calculations, verification tests and covenant compliance, under the Company’s credit facility

About You:

  • Advanced financial modeling and MS Excel skills required.  Proficiency in other financial planning & analysis platforms preferred but not required.

Director of Investment Surveillance, NY

Our client is a large global asset management company looking to add a Director of Surveillance in their investment advisory division. Reporting to the Head of Institutional Compliance, this person will join a growing team responsible for various compliance procedures and policies supporting the institutional investment management business.  

About the Job:

  • 10+ years of compliance experience within investment management, ideally with a fixed income asset manager
  • Manage a small group of compliance and trading surveillance staff; assist with the advisor compliance program, including implementation and maintenance of compliance surveillance systems and entity level registrations in conjunction with our client’s Central Compliance
  • Assist the team with guideline and investment management agreement interpretation questions as well as surveillance reports

Director of Investment Compliance, West Coast

Our client, based in New York City, is a large investment advisory firm with global presence. Growth has created the need for a Director of Investment and Regulatory Compliance in their West Coast offices. This position will have responsibility for oversight and advice on compliance matters affecting the institutional advisory business.

 

About the Job:

  • Assist with advisor compliance program framework including designing and implementing the compliance program with a focus on ERISA, private fund compliance and compliance matters under the Commodity Exchange Act
  • Collaborate with a number of compliance, legal and business groups not resident in the west coast office

Mutual Funds Product Development Manager

Our client, a $110 Billion Asset Management Firm is looking for a Product Development Manager to join their Marketing team. The ideal understands financial markets and products, and has strong analytical and writing skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks. Additionally, the ideal candidate understands the asset management business and investment products across multiple strategies (equity, multi asset class and alternative investments) and investment vehicles (i.e. open-end mutual funds, collective trusts, ETFs).  This is a robust role and involves utilizing multiple databases such as Morningstar Direct, Lipper and eVestment to perform ongoing competitive research, building product presentations and proposals for senior management and managing a product throughout the entire product cycle.  This job is located in the greater NYC/metro area.

Executive Director of Project Finance and Development

Our client is a global, privately held commodity trading, merchandising and distribution company. Due to growth they are seeking an Executive Director of Project Finance and Development. This person will be responsible for execution and capital sourcing for strategic projects related to the global growth of the business. This person will be responsible for building out team resources as required.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Directly report to the Chief Operating Officer / Chief Financial Officer
  • Work directly with key employees in the Business Units, in connection with the financing of new investment opportunities and management of approved projects
  • Design the best finance model for each capital based project and seek funding of same through external and internal equity sources as well as debt at the lowest possible cost.
  • Assist the Investment Committee as well as the BOD with financial evaluation of proposed projects as well as suggestions and recommendations with respect to the best possible way to fund such projects.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with senior management regarding corporate goals and objectives in regards to capital investments, including but not limited to current capital budget, minimum required ROI, maximum pay-back period, etc.
  • Regularly report to senior management and the Investment Committee on the status of funding, the available financial structure and the cost (equity and debt) of pending investment proposals, including among other details, the timeframe for the development of same, and the expected date of closing.

Our client, a leading global asset management firm, is currently seeking a Mutual Funds Channel Marketing Manager to join their team in Stamford, CT. As a key member of the marketing team, the  Channel Marketing  Manager is accountable for developing, managing and executing  marketing initiatives specific to the Retail channel.  This individual will partner with the National Accounts and Sales divisions to identify channel, and firm-specific marketing opportunities.  The ideal candidate understands how to implement initiatives and activities that align with distribution, sales, and retention goals, as well as the longer-term growth strategy.
