Investment Writer - Investment Management

Our client, a large global quantitative investment management firm, based in the New York metro area is seeking an experienced investment writer to work closely with the Director of Marketing Communications to write compelling copy to help drive the marketing function, working closely with senior management, both on the investment and distribution side, to lead an integrated marketing strategy for the firm.

About the Job:

  • Write strong, compelling copy on a wide range of investments topics for institutional and retail audiences
  • Develop content for sophisticated, research-driven communications to help drive sales
  • Produce analytical white papers, thought leadership materials, marketing campaign deliverables and website copy
  • Contributing to other key projects, such as ongoing content development for strategy profiles, pitchbooks and RFPs
  • Supplying idea generation, along with development of investments-driven communications to further elevate the firm’s brand
  • Review marketing material and RFP language created by other Marketing team members, adding value through constructive comments and recommendations
  • Collaborate with product management and investments to write Prospectus/updates

About You:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (English, Marketing or Journalism major strongly preferred)
  • 5-7 years or more experience in a Marketing or Writing position in the financial services industry is required
  • Deep knowledge of investment strategies/products
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data
  • Must have the ability to interact on a peer level with the investments team as well as provide editorial expertise in the development of investment-oriented materials
  • Needs marketing savvy and ability to conceive and deliver copy that has a positive effect in the sales cycle
  • Ability to work independently, handle multiple assignments concurrently and complete all tasks in a timely manner
  • Must possess strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Learns quickly when facing new problems; open to change; analyzes both successes and failures for clues to improvement
  • Ability to develop effective internal/external working relationships

RFP Marketing Manager

Our client, a global quantitative investment management firm located in the NY metro area, is seeking an experienced RFP professional with 2-5 years of experience in investment management to become a valuable member of a dynamic and growing marketing team. This role reports to the Head of RFP Management and is highly promotable to other related areas within marketing, such as product management, marketing content/ collateral or client services.

About the Job:

  • Coordinate and oversee the preparation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs) and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs)
  • Prepare RFP/RFI/DDQ responses based on information gathered from internal database tools and acquired industry and company knowledge
  • Responsible for reviewing data for accuracy and suitability in addressing questions, proofreading, editing and standardizing proposal text for proper grammar, comprehension, style and overall quality of the delivered document
  • Collaborate with Investments Writer to update RFP Machine periodically to fine-tune existing language and input new questions

CMBS Surveillance

Our client, a ratings and risk consulting firm based in New York, NY, is seeking an experienced professional to join their rapidly growing of CMBS Surveillance team. This position is based in New York, NY. 

About the Job:

  • Lead CMBS transaction reviews in accordance with organizational guidelines, including the preparation and presentation of analyses to committees and the publication of transaction reports.
  • Develop detailed cash flow analysis for commercial real estate properties.
  • Respond to servicer requests regarding a variety of post securitization matters, including loan assumptions and defeasance.
  • Monitor and document the credit performance of CMBS transactions on an ongoing basis.
  • Prepare research and data compilation as needed to effectively monitor ratings exposure; publish findings.
  • Produce research and commentary reports on credit or marketplace trends.
  • Conduct property site visits and document findings for internal and external use.
  • Direct and lead junior analysts.

About You:

  • 10+ years of relevant commercial real estate or CMBS experience.
