Our client, a successful asset management firm, is seeking a Senior Marketing Associate to join their Investor Relations and Business Development team. The Senior Marketing Associate is responsible for maintaining and developing investor relationships for its commercial real estate investment products. The Senior Marketing Associate must have strong communication, analytical capabilities and product level knowledge to support relationship management and business development efforts. A main focus will be on client retention, as well as new business expansion in order to grow and diversify the firm’s investor base and investment product offerings. About the Job:

  • Support the servicing of existing clients and consultants, as well as new business opportunities
  • Assist in the management of client and consultant needs, inquires and requests through effective coordination with the investor relations team; respond in an articulate, accurate and professional manner
  • Produce, update and maintain institutional-quality presentation materials, marketing collateral, and client reports; design and create new presentation slides and collateral as necessary
  • Lead the initiative for the production of RFIs and RFPs with a specific focus on the accuracy, effectiveness and warehousing of content
  • Work closely with other areas of the firm, particularly accounting and investment team members, as it relates to investor relations and business development efforts
  • Track, coordinate and complete client subscription and redemption requests
  • Perform competitor and industry analysis
  • Maintain the client reporting portal, update consultant databases, and assist with ongoing maintenance/refinement of the CRM system
  • Assist in the quality control process regarding externally distributed documents, data and information
  • Respond to ad hoc requests and contribute to new projects/initiatives as appropriate

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in business; advanced degree or designation (CFA, CAIA, etc.) a plus
  • 4-7 years of financial services industry experience with a focus on institutional asset management; commercial real estate investment product is required
  • Strong technical foundation with ability to grasp various investment strategies and products, as well as understand accounting, finance and operations elements
  • Effective time management and organization skills to ensure work processes are completed accurately and on time
  • Team-orientation; able to work well with various groups
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel and familiarity with understanding a CRM system, ideally SalesForce
